Every Tailor Hat reflects the pride of true craftsmanship. Unlike many mass-produced cowboy hats, our hats feature premium materials, first run felts, and sheep-skin leather sweatbands that are sewn in and NOT GLUED. These premium elements come together to create hats that are in the middle price range, but are built to last. Whether your customers are first-time hat buyers or seasoned riders, Tailor Hats delivers a fit and finish that feels custom-made.

Hat Specs

  • Our Shape: All wholesale orders feature our signature Rider shape which is our proprietary design. You can also order open crown hats if you prefer to create custom shapes/styles (please reach out about this as we are developing the website).
  • Sizing Benefits: Sizes available to fit a wide range of customers, with our hybrid shape accommodating both round and long ovals.
  • Materials: Premium 100% Bolivian Wool 250grams. This means our hats are sturdy and meant to last. Most manufacturers use wool from Australia which is a hotter climate. Bolivian wool comes from much higher elevation where the climate is colder, making for a much better material.

Order & Quantity Details

  • Wholesale Orders

    For all wholesale orders, the minimum order quantity (MOQ) is 24 hats, not limited on colors or sizes. This is a good way to get you off the ground, or keep you stocked.

  • Wholesale orders of 100+

    Eligible for custom liners featuring your branding. Which will take longer on the first order as we custom make the design to fit your brand.

  • Private Label Orders

    We provide custom liners and sweatbands, which provide our quality with your brand. The Minimum Order Quantity starts at 500 hats. We love our brand, but we are here to help you grow.

Box & Packing

Our hats come in 2'x4' boxes with individual hat trays with protective bags/coverings. This helps the hats stay protected from dust and dirt, while also not getting bent or damaged. The cardboard and packaging also cost a good amount of money so we suggest you use it to your advantage. Not only do the boxes keep your hats safe in transit, but they can help you stay organized. If you open the main box from the bottom, they stay stacked and easily accessible. Every box has an arrow indicating the top.

Production & Timeline

Our production time takes approximately 2 weeks before hats are ready to ship. Your hats will typically get to you within a month after your order is placed, depending on if you do custom liners. We always suggest letting us know ASAP when you're going to need your hats to make sure you don't miss the production train. Hats in under a month is extremely fast, compared to others starting at 6 months out.

A Partnership Approach

Logistics and Recieving

  • As our partnership grows, we are committed to finding ways to further reduce shipping costs. Right now, we split the shipping cost with you and share the Fedex or UPS invoice.
  • Dream Big: Our hats ship out of Dallas, and we are dedicated to getting enough clients that we can caravan East, North, and West to personally deliver hats to you, and lower the cost for everyone.
  • One box cost anywhere from $200-$280/box to ship, but we split that cost with you.

Sizing

  • We have sizes from 6 3/4 - 8
  • In our experience, the lower hats sizes typically sell out faster, from our smallest size to 7 1/4, but we do carry all sizes because we want to service everyone. One great tip if storage is an issue is jumping sizes when placing your order. That way, you can use hat fillers to fit the sizes for the in between, while also keeping a lower amount of SKUs.

Colors

Currently, we have 21 colors available and they are all in our Order Form. A good tip to keep in mind is to know your audience. If you're close to a big city with sports team, similar colors may work. A lot of people in the rodeo community will wear the bright colors with your average person loving the neutrals.

Getting Your Order Started

  • To begin production, we require a half down payment to get the order started.
  • The final remaining invoice is sent the day before shipping.
  • All shipping invoices will be separate from your hat order.

    We do our best to ensuring a smooth and timely delivery, while staying in communication along the way.
